Living With Stacy #147 - Survival Mode Dorian

Living With Stacy #147 – Survival Mode Dorian

Hello my post storm friends, I bring you another comic strip on the tides of hurricane Dorian called “Survival Mode Dorian.” Hurricane Dorian has come and gone, but when I drew this comic it was just upon us. I had drawn it to post last weekend but then our power went out, so…You know hurricanes.

In this week’s comic, Ryan and Stacy have different views on how to “weather the storm.” Ryan draws his webcomic like usual. Meanwhile Stacy has gone into survival mode in the kitchen. Unplugging all the plugs in the outlets, turning off all lights, and hunkering down with storm food and our two fur babies.

Before Ryan can figure out what is happening, Stacy bellows a warning, “BEWARE THE HURRICANE!” in an over dramatic fashion. Haha. Now, keep in mind there was nothing over dramatic about hurricane Dorian. It was nasty. There were some trees straight through houses and the downed power lines dances in the streets in the wind.

Actually, I think there are places around here still without power. I even saw a military truck helping out the days afterwards. Pretty crazy. :0

Anyways, that’ s it for this weeks strip. If you liked Survival Mode Dorian, then you’d like my other LWS comics. Go check em out.

Living With Stacy #146 - Clean as A Whistle

Living With Stacy #146 – Clean as a Whistle

Hey there LWS comic fans and welcome to another new hilarious comic strip called “Clean as a Whistle.” Stacy snaps on some rubber gloves and goes to town on the dirty dishes. Before she can bask in her hard work, Ryan swoops in with a cereal bowl and klunks it into the sink without a second thought. Cue the heavy metal music. Haha.

Clean as a whistle is a weird idiom for me. You may have heard the expression before…it means, really, really clean. However, if you stop and think about it, being clean as a whistle would in reality, not that clean. Right? I mean, how clean can a whistle get? You got saliva, bacteria, airflow, no good way to clean it. So, I think it may have been a sarcastic response to a very clean situation. There could be more to it, maybe certain types of whistles needed to be pristine? Is that a military thing? A British thing? Who knows…

Anyhoo, that’s it for this week’s comic. If you liked today’s LWS comic, then you’ll definitely like my other dishes themed strip called How to Get His Attention.

Living With Stacy #145 - Glasses

Living With Stacy #145 – Glasses

Well, well well, looks like we have a new LWS comic out today called “Glasses.” Stacy can’t find her glasses anywhere. She’s looked on the nightstand, the bookshelf and even in the bathroom, but to no avail. Where could those little buggers be? Ryan giggles, “Did you check on your face?” πŸ™‚

Anyone with glasses must be able to relate to this one. I know I’ve done it at least once before. I’ve seen Stacy do this literally last week. She blames it on the eye boogies that make her vision blurry even with glasses on. Haha.

Anyhoo, that’s it for this weeks LWS comic strip. If you liked today’s gag, then perhaps you’ll like Suit Yourself. If you like comics in general than you may also like my other comic Rankless.

Facebook is doing some weird things lately, like not showing my updates to all my fans of the page etc. I’ll post a link here to the official Living With Stacy Facebook Page in case anyone wants updates there. Let’s show Facebook who’s boss, huh? Haha. Until next time.

Living With Stacy #144 - It's All Yours

Living With Stacy #144 – It’s All Yours

It’s another Saturday and that means another new LWS comic, today’s titled “It’s all Yours.” You may have noticed that there’s a food theme in my recent LWS comics. Well, food seems to be the major topic of discussion with Stacy and I as of late. More specifically, healthier foods and how we can actually eat them. It’s so easy to order take out or go for something easy like nachos and chips. So, yeah I’m on a bit of a food kick. πŸ™‚

However, I do like to indulge in good desserts from time to time. Tasty, gluten free treats are hard to come by and even harder to make.Β  So you can imagine if you ever came home to someone eating your special treat all up themselves how protective you might get. Haha. It’s not polite to do that. Remember, sharing is caring.

Anyways, that’s it for this week’s comic. If you liked “It’s all Yours” then you’ll most likely like my other comic strips. You can check out Rankless the Comic or more Living with Stacy comics in the LWS Archive.

Living with Stacy #143 - Suit Yourself

Living With Stacy #143 – Suit Yourself

Hey there LWS fans and welcome to another new comic strip called “Suit Yourself.” Stacy is going through one of those phases where she hates “ALL FOODS” on the planet. I use quotation marks because in actual reality she is just stubborn about foods in general. And nothing says conviction like declaring out loud the distaste for all things culinary. Haha. Suit yourself I guess. Oh my. Sometimes the body overpowers the mind however, and we see Stacy drooling for Ryan’s plate of food in the end. It was a valiant effort, but such is the way of life.

Any of you out there relate to dieting and the mental capacity it takes to block cravings for foods that may not be the best for you? I have ad passion for junk food myself, especially chips and chocolates. I always make the complaint that if a bowl of carrots were around, I’d eat those instead of the chips. Haha, but there is never a bowl of carrots around when you need them. There are however, lots and lots of chips. πŸ™‚

Anyways, that’s it for this week’s webcomic. If you liked today’s funny, then you’ll love “Happy Birthday” and “Nap.”

If you want to learn about how to diet in a healthy way, check out these books from this website. That’s it for now my LWS fans. Later gators.

Living With Stacy #142 - Nap

Living With Stacy #142 – Nap

Hey-yo LWS comic fans, I have a new strip today called “Nap.” Ever have a nap soooo good that you wake up thinking you’re still in school? Or that you missed the bus? Or maybe you’ve forgotten to go to work? Then you realize it was all a dream? That’s Ryan in today’s comic. πŸ™‚Β  Luckily, Stacy was there to comfortΒ  him. Ha.

Naps are something I’m trying to do a lot more lately. I find after 2:00pm is the perfect time for a quick snooze. My dreams during the day time are quite vivid. Hence my back to school dreamland flashback.

Today’s comic “Nap” was inspired by a hilarious meme I saw on the subject of napping. If any of you can relate to this one, feel free to share it with your friends and family.

In other news, LWS books are being prepared to send to donors from my GoFundMe campaign. I don’t plan on shipping most of them, so I’ll need to arrange pick ups or drop offs. That’s why it is taking a bit more time to get everyone their books. I’ll be making the rounds sometime soon, so keep in touch to know when your book is coming.

That’s it for this week. If you liked this week’s comic than you’ll love “Happy Birthday” and “Takeout.”

Living With Stacy #140 - Takeout

Living With Stacy #140 – Takeout

Hello again, and welcome to “Takeout” my newest LWS comic strip!Β  Stacy’s in the mood for good home cookin’ and she heads to the fridge to see what calls out to her. Little does she realize things are going to get smelly! Ryan tries to warn her, but she doesn’t heed his warning. And boom, she opens the fridge door and is hit with a rotten food bomb. Looks like it’s takeout tonight! πŸ™‚

Honestly, it’s probably having takeout so often that caused all the food in the fridge to go bad. I’ve been there before. I get a nice piece of fish, put it in the fridge and think “I’m going to cook this sucker up nice and good tonight.” Then Stacy comes home, tired from work. She looks at me and holds up a pizza (gluten free). “Takeout?” Of course I’m on board. Forgetting that poor little fishy in the fridge until it goes so rotten you can’t ignore it any longer. Sigh…

But man, was that pizza ever good! Haha. Anyways, if you liked today’s LWS comic then you’ll love some of my other strips. Like this one called “Jam Packed.”

LWS Books!

In other news, my Living With Stacy books are here! I’m doing a books signing at the Natural Grind in Nova Scotia on July 28th, 7pm. If you want a book signed, then come on down!

Living With Stacy #135 - Bon Appetit

Living With Stacy #135 – Bon Appetit

Hey there LWS fans and welcome to another great Living With Stacy comic called “Bon Appetit.” Stacy craves some fine dining and Ryan has just the place in mind! MOM’S house! Nothing like good ‘ol home cooking. πŸ™‚

I thought this one up this morning and coincidentally, I’m off to eat supper at my Mom and Dad’s house right now. They’re cooking pork skewers on the BBQ. Mmm…Yum. I thought this comic was super cute and it’s the first time my mom has been in it. Well, unless you count “Movin’ On Up.”

Well, my stomach is growling, so I’m off to eat! Hope you liked this weeks comic and if you did then hit that like and share button. πŸ™‚

P.S. Oh and one more thing. I’m in the process of printing the LWS books from my GOFUNDME page. Look forward to some news on that soon.

Living With Stacy #133 - The Pimple Popper

Living With Stacy #133 – The Pimple Popper

Hey there LWS fans and welcome to another new comic called “The Pimple Popper.” Ryan notices he has a big pimple in the bathroom mirror but little does he know that the pimple popper lurks in the background. If you haven’t guessed it, the culprit is none other than Stacy.

It seems to be quite the girlfriend stereotype that most of them like to pop pimples. A guilty pleasure? Perhaps. But I do see it overtly flaunted, so I think it’s more of an established badge of honor kind of thing. I know that IRL Stacy likes to pop pimples…especially mine. Must be satisfying to some weird degree.

Anyways, it is getting late (but I still made the Saturday deadline, ha!) so I’m heading off to play some Smash Bros Ultimate. Maybe if you play, I’ll see you on there. I’m MrFlapack(s) if you’re looking for a challenge. Ahem, so long as the connection is stable that is. Haha.

If you liked this weeks LWS comic then you’ll love On My Nerves. Have a good weekend. πŸ™‚

Living With Stacy #132 - Figure of Speech

Living With Stacy #132 – Figure of Speech

Hey there LWS comic fans and welcome to another new strip called “Figure of Speech.” Ryan professes his love for cooked chicken, proclaiming his love for it matches nothing else in the whole wide world. Wow, that is quite the statement. Good thing Stacy is 90% sure he’s speaking figuratively. Although, that leaves a 10% chance that it is not a figure of speech. Oh my…haha.

Today’s comic is interesting for two reasons. One, it was a fun one to create and draw, and two I literally came up with two versions of this one. I chose the one above as the definitive version, but I’ll post the other one below for anyone who is curious.

LWS Comic #132 - Alt Version

Neat huh? Not too often I do up two versions of the same strip. But hey, if I do the work and put in the time, might as well share it with you guys. If you liked this comic then you’ll love my last one, “Waiter.”

Anyways, that’s it for this weeks comic strip. Check back again for more new Living With Stacy content! Oh and for anyone who has supported me on my LWS GOFUNDME page, look forward to some news about the book soon.
