Essential Skills Be Like

Essential Skills Be Like – LWS Quicklet

Heyo all you self isolating pandemic-heads, and welcome to a new Living With Stacy Quick-let! Today’s strip is called “Essential Skills Be Like.” Don’t you ever wish you had time to brush up on the essential things in life? Like, gardening, baking, and sewing? Well, now we all have the time to do so…or perhaps the time to realize that we aren’t very good at said essential skills.

To be fair, we all have different professions, so we can forgive ourselves for not knowing how to do some of them. And like I said earlier, what better time to learn an essential skill than right now. 🙂

Speaking of professions, if you lost yours lately due to COVID-19 and you live in Canada, you can apply for the CERB. I’m sure you all know about it now, but even self-employed individuals (like comic creators), who’ve made at least $5000.00 of total income last year can apply.

That’s it for today’s quick-let. Expect more quicklets as they get completed. Happy isolation! 🙂

Isolation Be Like

Isolation Be Like – LWS Quicklets

Self isolation is hard…It can be maddening and cabin fever producing. It can be a time to reflect, goof off or be paranoid. Either way, isolation has a time limit and it’s time to self isolate.

As the great Homer J Simpson once said “No TV and no beer make Homer go something something…”

Today’s LWS QUICKLET COMIC is called “Isolation Be Like” and is about just that, isolation. Perhaps you isolate because it’s safe and smart to do, perhaps you isolate because the government ordered you to do so, or perhaps your are quarantined. Whatever the case, self isolation is smart but is also hard on the head.

I try to do these everyday, so keep coming back to check for new comic strips. Stay safe and healthy. 🙂

Drive-Thrus Be Like

Quicklets – LWS Comics Done Fast

Hey there LWS fans. The ever growing COVID-19 outbreak is forcing a lot of us indoors. We must all self isolate and try to not go crazy in the process. There have been a lot of rules and regulations that make it a little more tough, but we all know it’s for the best. Surely the apocalypse has arrived. So what is one to do while self isolating?

I give you LWS QUICK-LETS! Living with Stacy comics done fast. Quick-lets are meant to be drawn rough and fast, and is a way for me to stave off cabin fever in a time of self isolation during the COVID-19 outbreak. I poke fun at some viral topics, but make no mistake, I take the current outbreak very seriously. That is why I must draw these comics, to balance it all out with a little bit of humor (and to de-stress).

Everyday I plan on drawing a new comic related to living life during the current COVID-19 outbreak. This includes topics mentioned above like self isolation and going a bit bananas. Or perhaps trying to go out for a loot run at the grocery store while wearing hazmat suits.

Today’s strip is about getting take-out at the drive thru. The six foot social distancing is now widely adopted, which is good. But have you ever had your food hurled at your car by a fast food worker in hopes to limit exposure? Yep, it happens. Just watch out for those hot drinks, like coffee. Ye-ouch.

Quick-lets are not released in any particular order like my main LWS strips, just the ones that come to me that day. Stay tuned for more soon. Remember to wash those hands, and stay healthy. 🙂

Home Sweet Home - Living With Stacy #174

Home Sweet Home – LWS Comic #174

Well, well, well, it”s time for another LWS comic. Today’s comic is called “Home Sweet Home.” Ryan and Stacy finally arrive home from grocery shopping, tired but happy.  They both plop down on the couch triumphantly, only to soon realize by the ever glaring eyes of Tori and Jeanie, that something is amiss.

And that something is that they forgot the cat food and cat litter. LOL. Have you ever had one sole reason to go to the grocery store only to forget that one thing afterwards? Ah, man. Cat litter is a big one for me.

And with that, the grocery store arc is done. Not that there won’t be any more store related jokes and gags coming in the future. I hoped you liked it while all of you self isolate. Things are getting bonkers out there. So stay safe and stay healthy.

Speaking of safe, Canada has released information on the CERB (Canada Emergency Relief Benefit). So if you live in Canada, you may want to look into it if you lost your job recently due to COVID-19.

That’s it for now. Hopefully things will start to become normal in the weeks and months to come. Also, please share and like LWS with any of your friends and family. 🙂

Whoopsie - LWS Comic #173

Whoopsie – LWS Comic #173

Hey there all you isolated LWS fans. How stressful is it to hear about all this COVID-19 news? It’s all I see on social media (with just cause). Well, perhaps I can take your mind off of it for just a minute with my new comic strip called “Whoopsie.”

Today’s comic closes in on the end of the grocery store arc. Fitting in a way, with grocery stores going out of stock and changing their hygiene practices and distancing policies. I promise, this story arc wasn’t planned to coincide during all of this. It just weirdly timed up. :0

Anyways, I digress. Ryan and Stacy are just about home. Ryan, ignoring Stacy’s warning, places the groceries on the hood of the car in order to pick collect the rest of the bags. Do any of you out there do this? I have…lol. In any case, the groceries slip off the car hood and splat onto the ground. “Whoopsie” indeed.

If you liked this week’s comic then please check out the first comic in the grocery arc called Business.

Well, that’s it for now. Y’all keep your head up and try to restrict the constant Coronavirus news to a daily minimum so as not to stress while isolating. Stay diligent and wash those hands. 🙂

Checkout - Living With Stacy #172

Checkout – Living With Stacy #172

Hey there Living With Stacy fans, I have another new strip for you in this fabulous grocery store arc called “Checkout.” How many of you can relate to the horrors of grocery shopping, hm? I bet there is a lot of you. If you had any such experience then please share this comic with your friends and loved ones.

Do you know that sharing the comics is an excellent way to get more people to read Living With Stacy? So do it, do it now, or I’ll call the police.

Oh this just in, our IRL cat Jeanie just jumped on my shoulder and dug her claws into my flesh, slicing two hair follicles like she was playing connect the dots. How fun. This is a sign, it means that this comic is “EPIC!” Please share now. Do it now.

That’s it for this weeks comic. Check out my others here.

Lines For Days - LWS Comic #171

Lines For Days – LWS Comic #171

Heyo LWS comic fans, I have another awesome grocery related strip for you today, called “Lines For Days.” As you may have deduced from the title, this comic is about one of the most hated aspects of any shopping experience. especially during busy times, and that is the lines!

Stacy’s on the verge of a mental breakdown and needs to get out of the store ASAP! She urges Ryan to hurry up, and turns to realize that her grocery store adventure is far from over. Ryan, optimistic as ever, offers an inspirational quip about patience. Alas, it falls on exhausted and frustrated ears, as Stacy collapses onto her cart in despair.

Anyways, that’s it for this weeks comic. If you liked “Lines For Days” then you need to check out my other grocery store themed comics. You can start by reading the first in the Grocery Store Arc called “Business.”

Oh and, if you do go to the store, try not to buy up “all” the toilet paper. Ryan needs some tissues for his tushie too. 😉

Asle Nine - Living With Stacy #170

Aisle Nine – Living With Stacy #170

Hey there Living With Stacy fans, I have a brand spanking new comic for you called “Aisle Nine.” In today’s strip we see Stacy at her best. Best at what you ask? Well, the best at being Stacy. We see her restocking shelves, moving items into their correct spots. Ryan states, “Hun, that’s the stocker’s job.” Before she can retort, the items come crashing down on her and the floor. “Clean up in aisle nine!” 🙂

Although slightly embellished, this is another true to life story. I hope you all enjoyed it. The grocery arc is continuing on for a few more strips. Stay tuned for another update soon.

If you’re interested in the start of this arc, check out “Business” and “Good Spot.” Later gators.

Right Over Here - LWS Comic #169

Right Over Here – LWS #169

Hey there LWS fans and welcome to another great comic strip called “Right Over Here.” Continuing with Ryan and Stacy’s grocery excursion, we find them agreeing to meet up after Ryan grabs a bag of nacho chips. Stacy replies, “Okay, I’ll be right over here.” However, when Ryan returns Stacy is gone, seemingly vanished off the face of the Earth.

Anyone who has gone to the grocery store will understand our plight. Lol. How many times have you looked the other way for a tasty treat on a shelf only to lose your significant other within seconds. You think to yourself, it was only a few seconds, they must be right around the corner. WRONG! They are gone, and you are left alone to wander the store in search of them, narrowly missing them with every passing aisle. Then it hits you, yes, you should go the other way! Brilliant. But wait, what if your significant other thinks the same thing, then you’ll miss them….Hmm, yes big brain calculations here. You continue on…but alas, your spouse was never seen again. Or at least it seems that way when walking for 20 minutes in the grocery store.

Next time someone says “right over here” remember my writings. Haha.  Anyways, that’s it for this week’s strip. If you liked Right over here than please read my other comics in the grocery arc, starting with Business. Until next time. Happy shopping. 🙂
