Home Sweet Home - Living With Stacy #174

Home Sweet Home – LWS Comic #174

Well, well, well, it”s time for another LWS comic. Today’s comic is called “Home Sweet Home.” Ryan and Stacy finally arrive home from grocery shopping, tired but happy.Β  They both plop down on the couch triumphantly, only to soon realize by the ever glaring eyes of Tori and Jeanie, that something is amiss.

And that something is that they forgot the cat food and cat litter. LOL. Have you ever had one sole reason to go to the grocery store only to forget that one thing afterwards? Ah, man. Cat litter is a big one for me.

And with that, the grocery store arc is done. Not that there won’t be any more store related jokes and gags coming in the future. I hoped you liked it while all of you self isolate. Things are getting bonkers out there. So stay safe and stay healthy.

Speaking of safe, Canada has released information on the CERB (Canada Emergency Relief Benefit). So if you live in Canada, you may want to look into it if you lost your job recently due to COVID-19.

That’s it for now. Hopefully things will start to become normal in the weeks and months to come. Also, please share and like LWS with any of your friends and family. πŸ™‚

Business - Living With Stacy #165

Business – LWS Comic #165

Heyo LWS comic fans, and welcome to another awesome strip called “Business.” Ryan and Stacy attempt to relax on the couch while their two kitties, Tori and Jeanie, stare at them endlessly. Ryan mentions to Stacy that he suspects they may be out of cat food or cat litter. To which Stacy replies “Why do you say that?” Haha, well just look. πŸ˜‰

For any cat lovers out there, you know the drill. Cats will stare for so many reasons. Litter, food, attention, contempt, sometimes they stare up at the wall like a ghost is there. You have to wonder…what the hell are they looking at? Can they see through walls? Do they have thermal vision? Whatever it is, they definitely mean business. Lol.

Aw my, kitties are great, aren’t they? If you liked this cat comic then you’ll love my other feline strips like Catnip, Happy Birthday, and Stinky Kitty.

Well that’s it for this week’s blerb, I hope you enjoyed Living with Stacy. Tune in next week for more greatness. The grocery store arc is coming up and it’s going to be fantastic. πŸ™‚

Catnip - LWS Comics #162

Catnip – LWS Comic #162

Hey there LWS fans, I have another new hilarious strip called “Catnip” out for you today. As the title reveals, this one’s about cats and the ever so drug like substance, catnip. Anyone with felines knows how the story goes. πŸ™‚

However, in today’s comic, Ryan would like to believe that it’s not always about the treasure, but the journey. You know, like all those awesome 80’s flicks. To quote my own words, “It’s about the adventure!” Add a British accent if you wish, for dramatic effect.

Alas, for our cat Tori, it may be more about the catnip than the adventure. Haha. Anyways, if you liked this week’s comic, then you’ll love my other cat themed ones like Happy Birthday and Battle Mode. Check back often for more great Living With Stacy strips.

Living With Stacy #142 - Nap

Living With Stacy #142 – Nap

Hey-yo LWS comic fans, I have a new strip today called “Nap.” Ever have a nap soooo good that you wake up thinking you’re still in school? Or that you missed the bus? Or maybe you’ve forgotten to go to work? Then you realize it was all a dream? That’s Ryan in today’s comic. πŸ™‚Β  Luckily, Stacy was there to comfortΒ  him. Ha.

Naps are something I’m trying to do a lot more lately. I find after 2:00pm is the perfect time for a quick snooze. My dreams during the day time are quite vivid. Hence my back to school dreamland flashback.

Today’s comic “Nap” was inspired by a hilarious meme I saw on the subject of napping. If any of you can relate to this one, feel free to share it with your friends and family.

In other news, LWS books are being prepared to send to donors from my GoFundMe campaign. I don’t plan on shipping most of them, so I’ll need to arrange pick ups or drop offs. That’s why it is taking a bit more time to get everyone their books. I’ll be making the rounds sometime soon, so keep in touch to know when your book is coming.

That’s it for this week. If you liked this week’s comic than you’ll love “Happy Birthday” and “Takeout.”

Living With Stacy #141 - Happy Birthday

Living With Stacy #141 – Happy Birthday

Hey there LWS comic fans, I have a new strip for you called “Happy Birthday.” It’s quite an awesome one if I do say so myself. Not only because it’s really funny, but because it is also my actual birthday. Ha! Yeah, my Saturday comic actually coincided with my real birthday. Neat, huh?

This strip is quite special as it’s Jeanie’s first real debut since her introduction. I hope you all like Jeanie as much as I do. πŸ™‚

I also had quite the birthday party. Family and friends, BBQ, cake (gluten free of course!) and presents. Oh and some booze, ha. The night was cool and the fire was warm. It was a good time. Special thanks to my folks for arranging it.

And that’s not all! Tonight is my book signing for Volume one of Living With Stacy! If you’re around town, stop by the Natural Grind at 7:00pm this evening to snag a signed copy of the book. Hope to see you there!

If you liked this weeks kitty comic than you’ll love my other kitty comics like “figure of speech” or “stinky kitty.”

Living With Stacy #136 - Stinky Kitty

Living With Stacy #136 – Stinky Kitty

Well hello again my fine LWS comic fans, I have a new strip for you called “Stinky Kitty.” As you may know the stinky kitty was in fact Ryan all along. Ryan let’s out a silent but deadly fart under the covers while Stacy reads peacefully. Little does she know that a waft of god-awful gas is headed her way. Suddenly, she coughs and gags at the stench. Panicking, Ryan blames the smell on Tori, claiming she has “farted.” And you know the age old saying “When you toot you get the boot!”

The last panel makes me laugh so much. I’m sure a lot farts get blamed on pets. How convenient, no? Those stinky little wieners. Haha. Always farting. Shame on them. πŸ™‚

Anyways, that’s it for this weeks Living with Stacy comic strip. If you like this comic then you’ll love my other hilarious ones like Figure of Speech or The Pimple Popper.

Onto other exciting news. I’m in the process of printing Volume 01 of my Living with Stacy book! Those of you who supported the project will get a book! So look forward to that! I went with a printing company in Canada and I’m excited to get the Test Copy Proof in the mail. I’ll post more about the book soon. πŸ™‚

Living With Stacy #132 - Figure of Speech

Living With Stacy #132 – Figure of Speech

Hey there LWS comic fans and welcome to another new strip called “Figure of Speech.” Ryan professes his love for cooked chicken, proclaiming his love for it matches nothing else in the whole wide world. Wow, that is quite the statement. Good thing Stacy is 90% sure he’s speaking figuratively. Although, that leaves a 10% chance that it is not a figure of speech. Oh my…haha.

Today’s comic is interesting for two reasons. One, it was a fun one to create and draw, and two I literally came up with two versions of this one. I chose the one above as the definitive version, but I’ll post the other one below for anyone who is curious.

LWS Comic #132 - Alt Version

Neat huh? Not too often I do up two versions of the same strip. But hey, if I do the work and put in the time, might as well share it with you guys. If you liked this comic then you’ll love my last one, “Waiter.”

Anyways, that’s it for this weeks comic strip. Check back again for more new Living With Stacy content! Oh and for anyone who has supported me on my LWS GOFUNDME page, look forward to some news about the book soon.

Living With Stacy #131 – Way Harder

Hey there LWS comic fans and welcome to another new comic strip called “Way Harder.” In this one, Ryan attempts to draw what would be a lovely town scene on a bright sunny day. I say what would be because of Tori and Jeannie, who’s attention seeking knows no limits nor bounds, proceeds to walk all over a nearly completed artwork with inky paws in pursuit of affection. It’s sweet ad also so tragic. Maybe I can get a Wacom Cintiq and avoid such scenarios in the future.

Anyhoo, that’s it for this week’s comic. I hoped you liked “Way Harder.” Even though cats can be a pain sometimes, in the end, they’re worth it. Even if they destroy some fantastic artwork from time to time.

If you liked this week’s comic strip than you’ll love Getting Old. For all my Living With Stacy comics you can also check out the LWS Comic Archive.

Go Fund Me for Living With Stacy

Living With Stacy #126 - Let Us In

Living With Stacy #126 – Let Us In

Heyo LWS comic fans and welcome to another new strip called “Let Us In.” Ryan and Stacy attempt to get a good nights sleep after finding their lonely cat Tori a new friend. This new friend is none other than the lovably chonky kitten Jeanie. Well, Jeanie isn’t a kitten anymore. Keh, keh. So how did everything turn out for our married heroes and their sleep endeavors? Haha, well let’s just say, now there are more kitty mouths meowing, “Let us in!”

LWS Comics - Jeanie Color

Anyways this page (Let Us In) marks the end of “New Kitten Story Arc.” Jeanie is officially part of our growing family. Expect to see more of their cat shenanigans in the future. Also, I was thinking of making a few Cats of LWS T-Shirts if anyone was interested. How can you get a hold of one of these precious tees? Well, contact me of course with your size and measurements and I’ll set you up with one. For everyone else, I’ll be making a post about merch in the future.

So that’s it for this week’s LWS comics strip. I hope you enjoyed it. I know I really enjoyed writing and drawing our new feline friends. Also, drawing Stacy frustrated is fun too. πŸ™‚ Stay tuned for more updates. Have a good weekend!

LWS Comic #125 - Growth Spurt

Living With Stacy #125 – Growth Spurt

Hey Living with Stacy fans, and welcome to another awesome comic called “Growth Spurt.” As the title implies, our new kitten Jeanie goes through quite the time lapsed growth spurt. Now this is an actual true event. Jeanie was in fact the Runt of the Litter, and within a short year, she was bigger than Tori. Tori used to pick on Jeanie quite a lot as a kitten, and as you may have guesses, the tables had turned. You’ll get to see more of Tori and Jeanie shenanigans in future comics. So if you like cats, you’re going to love the LWS kitty duo! I mean, just look at Jeanie! I want her on a T-Shirt (keep an eye out for that update soon).

LWS Comic #125 - Jeanie

LWS Comic Jeanie by Ryan JS Chandler 2019

Today’s comic (LWS #125) is close to ending the new kitty arc. For those of you new readers out there who are just joining in, feel free to read my comic backlog and catch up on current comedy story arcs. The start of this one was comic #118 Let Me In. And if you’re feeling adventurous, why not read my first ever LWS strip Sick starring the infamous Banana. πŸ™‚

That’s it for this week. I hope everyone is enjoying the focus on our two lovely and hilarious cats. Check back for new updates. My stomach is growling, so it’s time to cook some lunch. Until next time.
